When Pellegrino was announced as the new manager of Southampton, we took an in-depth look at their new boss and how it might affect things from an FPL perspective. We covered the main players of interest and since then we’ve had the pre-season giving us even more information however, I wouldn’t change the vast majority of my advice on the players we should consider.

The only player extra I would consider, given his performance last season and the fact Pellegrino seems to like him too, is James Ward-Prowse (£5.5m) who seems to be nailed and is on most of the set-pieces. I like this guy a lot, he has a stupidly accurate dead ball delivery and isn’t exactly too bad from open play either, the only question is his game time. If he gets 90 minutes consistently, I think he would provide brilliant value.
