Peter Crouch has been ruled out for Burnley with an appendix operation:
“On the one hand they say an appendix doesn’t do a lot, but when it flares up you’ve got to be careful with it and we’ll have to wait on a specialist view.”
Sean Dyche reported no other injury worries for their match against Wolverhampton.
Steven Defour [calf] has been ruled out for the remainder of the season whilst Aaron Lennon [knee] hopes to feature in one of their final 6 matches.
Terence Kongolo has a small back problem and will be assessed before the game. Meanwhile, Matt Daly has been forced out of training with an illness, and Philip Billing may miss out because of a back problem:
“Terence Kongolo had a small problem today, we will look how he develops. Philip Billing also has a back problem. Matt Daly has an illness so couldn’t train properly.”
Mbenza [calf] may feature after recovering from injury whilst Duhaney [hip] has been training, but Siewert insists that they take care, and thus has been ruled out.
Laurent Depoitre will be assessed to determine his availability.
Danny Ings is not eligible to face his parent club, and so Hasenhüttl hopes Shane Long and Jannik Vestergaard can pass their fitness tests:
“Ingsy is not allowed to play so we have to have a new guy in the offensive position. Longy is back in training and Jannik trained again with the team too; he might be an option but we have Jack Stephens as an alternative.”
Mario Lemina has also been ruled out, as he has not returned to training yet:
“It is a pity that Mario Lemina is not back in training with us as well, he needed a bit more time to rest.”

Jürgen Klopp has no new injury concerns ahead of Liverpool’s meeting with Southampton, with Virgil van Dijk set to play at St Mary’s Stadium:
“Yes, it looks quite good. No major concerns, actually, so we have to see until the matchday obviously but after the [Spurs] game probably thinking about Virg. He trained normal, everything OK.
Yesterday [Tuesday] we only had a second recovery session but he was involved in that and I heard nothing different that he could maybe not train today. No, it looks all OK.”
Marc Albrighton (hamstring) is not available for selection due to a lack of fitness, but the winger is way ahead of schedule:
“He joined the team for the first time today. He’s going to need a little more time, but he has been working with the medical/sports science team.”
Daniel Amartey (ankle) is another player closing in on a return to play:
“He’ll be with us before the end of the season, he’s working hard, but we don’t have a timeline on that yet.”
Harry Maguire comes back into contention after serving a one-match ban.
Adam Smith [hamstring] and Charlie Daniels [ankle] are both injury concerns ahead of their clash against Burnley and will be assessed before the game:
“Adam Smith is improving. I don’t know whether he will be fit enough to return, you have to be very careful with hamstring injuries.”
Dan Gosling and Junior Stanislas have recovered from their injuries and Howe spoke about them being, “better for the game.”
Steve Cook, Simon Francis and Lewis Cook are all recovering from their long term injuries and have been ruled out:
“Steve Cook is doing okay. He’s still quite a long way from being available for selection. Lewis Cook and Simon Francis are still positive in their rehab and are making good strides. They have their different targets and we still feel Cookie is slightly ahead of Simon but they have had no setbacks and are doing well.”

Andy Carroll, Carlos Sanchez, Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere and Winston Reid all remain out, but Felipe Anderson and Samir Nasri could return:
“About the squad, we have the continuing injuries for Carroll, Sanchez, Yarmolenko, Wilshere and Reid. Those five are not available.
Felipe Anderson couldn’t play the last game, and Nasri too, but they have worked with the squad.”
Hodgson reports that Mama Sakho (knee surgery) is the only player missing through injury:
“We’re okay, the same as before. It’s only Mama who is out. We have a full squad to choose from.”

Sarri is yet to decide if Hudson-Odoi will start again on Monday, but he indicates there will be some rotation in selection to keep all his players in a good condition for the climax of the season.
Silva reports no new injury concerns for Everton.
Yerry Mina remains out long-term with a hamstring injury.
Rafa reports on the team news:
“Schär is fine – he is available. Apart from Longstaff, who is not available, we have two or three issues. Hayden, Diamé and Yedlin have some little problems and we have to check on them before the game.”
On Jonjo Shelvey, Rafa stated the following:
“I was talking to him today – he is telling me he is ready and wants to play. We have to decide, depending on him and the other players. But he loves football and wants to play.”
