All the best for Gameweek 26 everyone – lets do this!

LEEDS

Bielsa gives no timescale on the return of Phillips or Rodrigo, although both remain out of the match against Villa.

Robin Koch has finally been given a return date, which is expected to be in early March. On Koch, Bielsa said:

“He’s within the margins expected [in terms of his recover]. I have a thought he’s going to be back with the same power and performance as before.”

Mateusz Klich is “doing pretty well”, although Bielsa is unsure whether he will be available to play Villa.

Bielsa did not provide any news regarding Jamie Shackleton, who missed the game against the Saints with a groin injury.

EVERTON

Most notably, Ancelotti has given the all-clear on Calvert-Lewin and Allan, claiming they will be available to start against Southampton on Monday.

Dominic and Allan are OK, they are training regularly. I think that they are available to play for sure from the beginning”.

The news on Yerry Mina was slightly less positive.

“I think Yerry Mina will be out [for] at least two weeks.”

Josh King is slowly increasing his fitness and is expected to make his first Premier League start in the upcoming matches.

Ancelotti suggests that he will continue to rotate keepers until the end of the season, suggesting that Pickford is no longer the guaranteed number 1.

BRIGHTON

Graham Potter began by giving an update on Tariq Lamptey.

Tariq Lamptey has trained again today, he’s had no problems and he’s had a good week. He won’t start but there’s a chance for him to be in the group for West Brom.”

Potter also gives an update on Adam Webster.

Adam Webster is more towards after the international break [beginning of April]. We were optimistic initially but you always have to wait with ligament injuries and he’ll be a few more weeks than we thought.”

Potter also confirms that it is “doubtful” Solly March will be available again this season. Dan Burn is expected to continue at left-back in his absence.

Potter claims that there are no other injuries or issues from their game on Monday.

WEST BROM

Sam Allardyce confirms Robert Snodgrass is out of the match against Brighton on Saturday, but should have recovered in time for the Everton match on Thursday.

Semi Ajayi will miss the game at the weekend due to a one match ban after being sent off in the game against Burnley.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Ole provided an update on Dan James‘ potential injury following their 0-0 draw against Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday.

“He [Dan James] felt a tweak. We will have to check on him tonight”

Today, Ole provided injury updates on the rest of the squad.

Juan [Mata] will unfortunately be out for a couple of weeks. We hope that [Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek and Edinson Cavani] can be available for the weekend but I’m not sure. Paul [Pogba] is still out for a few weeks, unfortunately.”

LEICESTER CITY

After their Europa League exit, Brendan Rodgers provided an update on James Maddison.

“It’s going to be one of those where he doesn’t need anything surgically, it’s just going to be about once the pain dies down. I can’t put a timeline on it. It’s going to be about how he feels. We’re going to have to assess that each day.”

Ayoze Perez is still out with a knee injury but will be assessed over the coming days. Dennis Praet and Wesley Fofana are still a short amount of time away from a return.

WEST HAM

David Moyes reports new fresh new injury concerns.

“At the moment we seem okay. We’ve still got Arthur Masuaku coming back and Yarmolenko has a medial ligament injury. Fredericks picked up a groin injury which is not serious – it’s touch and go, so we’ll have to see how he is after training today.”

Angelo Ogbonna is currently being assessed, but no return date was given.

NEWCASTLE

Steve Bruce spoke to the media ahead of the Wolves game, giving updates on several injury situations.

Joelinton is OK. Federico Fernández has trained all week but tomorrow still might be a bit too early for him. We have no new injuries. Manquillo is doing very well with his ankle. Fabian Schär is still on crutches and a knee brace. Callum Wilson is now three or four weeks away so he’s making good progress but it’s a muscle injury so we have to box clever with it.”

Bruce discusses what a massive boost it has been to get Allan Saint-Maximin back just as they lost Wilson.

“After being without him for three months in that crucial period – it is good to see him back. Just as we got him back we lost Callum Wilson to injury so it’s been cruel to us at times. If Allan stays fit we know we’re a different proposition.”

Interestingly, Bruce also discussed the goalkeeping situation, and perhaps hinted that Darlow and Dubravka may be rotated in the near future.

“Let’s make one thing clear, Karl (Darlow) has done a fantastic job. Of course I’ve got to make decisions in all positions but, ultimately, those are what I get paid for. I have to do what I think is right for the team.”

ASTON VILLA

Dean Smith confirms that Jack Grealish will not be available to face Leeds on Saturday, but perhaps that it isn’t as severe as first thought.

“He’s getting better. He won’t be ready for tomorrow but he’s getting better. People speculated how long he’s going to be out – I’m not sure how they can do that when I don’t know, the doc doesn’t know. He could be back versus Sheffield United or Wolves. We’ll be led by Jack.”

Dean Smith provides further injury updates on Matty Cash, Kortney Hause and Wesley.

Matty Cash is back on the training pitches running. We’ll be guided by the medical department on when he joins in with us.”

Kortney Hause will begin soft training next week, and Wesley is nearing a full return.

ARSENAL

Rob Holding is expected to be back in contention this weekend, after missing the win over Benfica due to concussion protocol.

Arteta commented on the return of Tierney following his recent injury.

“The way he has come back from his injury and how willing he is to try to help the team, it gives us a big lift.”

Whilst Arteta reports no new injury concerns, he implied that perhaps there are a few issues that he is not publicly discussing.

“I cannot say anything now because there are a few players who are still in contention for the game.”

Arteta also suggests that there may be some rotation ahead of their fixture against Leicester.

“Let’s see how we are feeling tomorrow. Today the players are still in Greece, we have to travel back on a four-hour flight but we won’t use that as an excuse. We have to deal with that, we know that when you play in European competition you have to be able to perform every three days and we will prepare to play Leicester with the same intensity like we always do.”

LIVERPOOL

Jurgen Klopp understandably will not give an update on Alisson Becker, after the tragic passing of his father earlier this week. It is expected that the Brazilian will miss the game against Sheffield United.

“No comment about that. I don’t want to read anything about that, no time for that.”

Earlier today Liverpool confirmed that Jordan Henderson has had successful surgery on his adductor injury, and Klopp is confident he will be able to play a part later this season. The predicted time frame is a return within 8 weeks.

Fabinho, Diogo Jota and James Milner are all returning from injury, although none of the three are likely to start on Sunday.

Diogo trained now twice with the team, looks very good but it was out long-term so we have to see what we can do with that. Fabinho is not yet with the team. That can happen, I think, tomorrow. Same for Milner.”

FULHAM

Fulham report no new injuries, as Scott Parker gives an update on the ongoing issues.

“We’re all good. Mitrovic comes back into the fold as well. Tom Cairney and Terence Kongolo still need some work.”

More on Mitrovic..

“He’s now had a good few days of training. We’re monitoring him closely but he seems all well.”

WOLVES

Nuno gives a very positive update on Raul Jimenez, as he is “totally confident” the Mexican will play again this season.

“Just being with his teammates is a big help for him and for us. No rush, but he’s getting better day by day.”

Daniel Podence, Willy Boly and Fernando Marcal all remain sidelined.

SPURS

Spurs post a relatively healthy squad, with only Giovani Lo Celso out injured. Serge Aurier has recovered following a calf injury, and will be available for the game against Burnley.

Serge [Aurier] is fine. Everybody is training with the team. Gio [Lo Celso] is the only one who is not in conditions to be with the team. Maybe next week will be premature but we’ll see.”

Gareth Bale was rested in the Europa league game on Wednesday, and therefore the Welshman is predicted to start against Burnley.

CRYSTAL PALACE

The major injury concern for Palace is Nathaniel Clyne, who will miss the game against Fulham. Joel Ward is expected to deputise in his absence.

The boss also had very positive news regarding Wilfred Zaha, who could return to full training as early as next week.

“He was out on the field today with the specialist. Muscle injuries you have to be careful so I shall have to wait to get clearance.”

James McArthur, Connor Wickham, Jeffrey Schlupp, Mamadou Sakho, Wayne Hennessey, Nathan Ferguson and James Tomkins all remain sidelined.

BURNLEY

Sean Dyche reports that Chris Wood has taken part in training but does not comment on whether he will be available for the weekend.

Jay Rodriguez has a couple of knocks but should be available this weekend.

Gudmundsson and Ashley Barnes are definitely out of contention this weekend, whereas Erik Pieters and Robbie Brady are doubtful but not completely ruled out. Dale Stephens has been training with the squad and remains the most likely to feature. Dyche suggests that there could be a few late injury boosts.

“Two or three could feature and the rest we are still waiting.”

SOUTHAMPTON

Ralph Hasenhuttl gives an update on the difficult injury situation at Southampton.

“We have another two injuries. Oriol Romeu’s season is over. Surgery on Monday means three months out. He has a fracture on his ankle. Minamino is out for the weekend with a light muscle injury… It also leaves us with Ibrahima (Diallo), Kyle Walker-Peters, Theo Walcott, Michael Obafemi and Will Smallbone injured”.

CHELSEA

Thomas Tuchel reports no new injury issues, but confirms Thiago Silva is still out.

“No more injury concerns (after midweek). No, Thiago Silva cannot play on Sunday. He did an individual session today and one on the pitch which was a big step for him. So I hope he will join the group next week.”

Tuchel praises Olivier Giroud but does not comment on whether he will start at the weekend.

“All the time he deserves to start. He trains very well, is a leader in the group and is a big personality so even when he did not start, he deserved to start. But I will not tell you now if we will let him play from the 1st minute.”

MANCHESTER CITY

Pep Guardiola confirms that Kevin de Bruyne is fully fit ahead of the upcoming run of fixtures.

“He’s fully fit. He was fully fit against Gladbach as well. I’m not going to say any differently to how key and important a player he is for us. In the last part of the season, he will be so important.”

Pep Guardiola also confirms there will be heavy rotation in the upcoming period.

“We played three days ago, travel, couldn’t train much. In three days, we play at 12:30. It’s an incredible challenge, everyone needs to be involved. Next game, we’ll change 5, 6, 7 players. The only way to sustain every player…”

SHEFFIELD UNITED

Sheffield United continue to be plagued with injury issues particularly in defence.

The newest injury concerns are Jayden Bogle who is out for 1-2 weeks, and Chris Basham who is out for 3-4 weeks.

Lys Mousset, Sander Berge, Jack Rodwell, Jack O’Connell, John Egan, and Jack Robinson all remain injured and unavailable for selection.
